The Jerusalem Festival of Light brings Jerusalem's Old City alive with light - from the illumination of architecture to light statues. 

Light not only a performs a function, but can be used to illuminate and showcase a place in another light.  Light as an art form has evolved over the past twenty years and integrates beauty, concept, abstraction and technology with a wide range of possibilities and usages. Around the world there are a growing number of festivals that focus on the influence of light on urban space.

With the help of carefully placed magnificent lights, the Festival of Light in the Old City shows a dramatic and artistic dimension to the Old City's nightlife. The festival is a public and family oriented celebration that local and international artists from different fields will partake in.

The 2012 festival brought 250,000 visitors to the Old City and succeeded in introducing a new trend in Jerusalem nightlife. The Festival included both displays of museum artwork and activities for all ages and audiences.

The Festival of Light in the Old City of Jerusalem will light up - in a new light - the Old City with its alleyways and enchanting sites.
