Ahinoam Nini Concert

An already pleasurable visit to Jerusalem can only be further enhanced with a performance by leading Israeli artist Ahinoam Nini. An international artist and ambassador for peace, it is highly possibly that you have heard her name before – she is also referred to as Noa – or her music played on the radio.

Born in Tel-Aviv to a Jewish family of Yemenite descent, Noa lived in New York from age two.

Noa has recorded numerous songs in Italian, French, Spanish, Galician, English, Arabic, Hebrew, Thai, Hindi, Yemenite Jewish and folk & Arabic pop songs as well as Jewish and Christian prayers translated into Hebrew and English.

In 1998 she recorded the part of Esmeralda in French for the original soundtrack of the "Notre Dame de Paris". Her song "Babel", written in English, French and Hebrew as theme song for the Gerarad Pullicino movie of the same name, topped the charts in France the following year.

In 2000, Noa recorded the theme song of "Life Is Beautiful", Roberto Benigni's Oscar award-winning film.

Noa has collaborated frequently with Arab and Palestinian artists from around the world. In 1995, Noa was on stage performing for an audience of 500,000 at the peace rally in Tel-Aviv just minutes before Prime Minister  Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated.

Noa will be performing with her long-time music partner and collaborator Gil Dor. She will perform music from her newest album "Eretz Shir" (Country Song) as well as a selection of her greatest past hits.

Zappa Jerusalem is a leading live music venue offering high-quality local and international music.

The concert doors open at 20:15 and the performance will begin at 22:00 pm.
