Arcadia
About
Arcadia restaurant is considered the finest in elite Israeli cuisine. The restaurant is the brainchild of Chef Ezra Kedem who opened the restaurant in 1995 in the heart of the historical Even Israel neighbourhood, a stone’s throw away from Mahane Yehuda market. Arcadia is found in a beautifully renovated old stone house with an enclosed courtyard and provides a bit of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area. The restaurant’s philosophy is to prepare food using wild, local, seasonal ingredients and even has its own farm in the Judean Hills where the staff work in the daytime. In general, Arcadia is open only for dinners but do open for private events in the day.
Arcadia’s cuisine offers a truly local and special dining experience featuring the finest locally sourced, organic seasonal ingredients – fresh herbs and vegetables grown at the restaurant’s organic farm, locally raised lamb, the freshest fish and seafood, exquisite caviar produced in the Galilee, local varieties of cold pressed organic olive oil and artisan goats cheese. Chef Kedem composes an ever-changing culinary expression of the local terroir in his own unique style and with meticulous attention to detail.
The restaurant atmosphere is warm and intimate. Arcadia offer workshops at the farm, and cater for all sorts of events. The wine cellar features a variety of carefully selected wines from the finest wineries in Israel, Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Italy and Spain.
