Situated a few minutes' walk from the Damascus gate to the Old City, St. George's Cathedral, established in 1899, is the center of the Episcopal Diocese in Jerusalem.
St. George's Cathedral in Jerusalem also serves as a guest house, mostly for pilgrims, and houses St. George's College, which offers a theological education both to clergy members and laypeople.
