Avram Bar

Avram Bar is a unique live music bar and cultural center that lies between Mahane Yehuda market and downtown Jerusalem, and combines the atmosphere of both. The venue features all musical genres, such as rock, blues, jazz, indie, electronic music, flamenco, Andalusian, and Indian music. Avram Bar was established by music lover Yossi Vazana. Every year, around 1,500 musicians and artists perform at the venue, including Shlomo Yidov, Shem Tov Levi, Yair Dalal, Shlomo Bar, Dana Berger, Irmi Kaplan, Hemi Rudner, Amir Lev, Uzi Ramirez, Yael Deckelbaum, Malox (Eyal Talmudi) and Ronit Shahar, Shuky Shveiky (Flamenco). Every Friday afternoon, Andalusian music master Nino Biton and the Magreb Orchestra perform a Kabbalat Shabbat show. Algerian-Moroccan music, good food and alcohol make this a wonderful and relaxed way to spend Friday afternoon before ushering in Shabbat. Avram Bar offers a varied kosher meat menu by Chef Itamar Halawa, which includes authentic dishes and a rich grill. It is open every day from 11:00 till late (closed on Shabbat), and offers business lunch deals at affordable prices. It is best to reserve a table in advance for the evening.
