Dan Jerusalem Hotel
Although it’s changed hands – and names – several times over the years, and was bought up by the Dan hotel chain, this sprawling edifice designed around a series of lovely patios will probably forever be known as “The Hyatt.”
Located a little out of the way, on the slopes of Mount Scopus, the Dan Jerusalem offers an assortment of over 500 beautifully appointed guest rooms, spacious public areas, a large and well equipped spa and wellness center, and two pools – one outdoor (seasonal) and one heated indoor pool.
The hotel’s location is an advantage if you’re looking for more quiet environs, or access to the Hebrew University’s Mount Scopus campus or Hadassah Medical Center. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service making it easy for guests to get to Jerudalem’s top attractions. The Dan Jerusalem Hotel is also a perfect take-off point for a drive down to the desert, to the Qumran Caves, the Dead Sea and Masada.
All rooms come outfitted with air-conditioning, a mini-bar, in-room voicemail, and more. WiFi is available for a surcharge in rooms on the executive floors. When it comes to dining, the Dan Jerusalem also offers several options to choose from: the Castel cafe in the lobby offers delicious dairy and fish dishes, and there’s also the Pavilion buffet restaurant, and Spark, which serves healthy dishes at the spa.
The hotel’s spa and wellness center is touted as the largest in Jerusalem, with an assortment of facilities including wet and dry saunas, several Jacuzzis, a Turkish bath, and a gym. The spa offers a variety of treatments to unwind to: Swedish massages, reflexology, peeling, deep-tissue massages, and facials, to name but a few. Religious guests will be delighted to know that the spa also has men- and women-only hours on some evenings.
Dan Jerusalerm Hotel is suitable for small or large events and family celebrations, as well as for meetings, conferences and seminars, offering a superb choice of indoor and outdoor venues.
