Strolling through the picturesque lanes of Jerusalem’s Old City is always a unique experience. At Jerusalem’s sixth Festival of Light do it while the streets, walls and windows are enhanced with dozens of light art installations. At the Festival of Light 2014 you will see three-dimensional installations, videos on landmark Old City walls, sound-and-light shows and more.
At the upcoming festival, taking place June 11-19, visitors are invited to walk along any of the different tracks, each one marked by a different color light, bringing visitors from one instillation to another. The festival takes place in and around the Old City, juxtaposing the enchanted Old City ambiance with innovative and captivating artwork from Israel and abroad, offering illuminated routes and enthralling light shows.
Throughout the festival the experience will be enhanced through other experiences like: a fair featuring work by a wide range of light designers, open tourist sites and more.
The Jerusalem Festival of Light 2014, one of an elite group of light festivals held around the world, is proudly presented by the Jerusalem Development Authority.
There is something at the light festival for people of all ages. It is appropriate for tourists, families, artists and creative enthusiasts.
