About
Muslims have been in Jerusalem for hundreds of years and their religious and cultural influence on the city are seen and felt all around the Old City. The largest of the Old City’s quarters, the Muslim Quarter is home to many of the amazing Christian sites. The tour will also visit Temple Mount, different Muslim buildings and structures from different periods in time and more.
The tour meeting point is at Safra Square (24 – 26 Jaffa Rd), then enters the Muslim Quarter through Damascus Gate and continues to the Western Wall. Changes may take place to the route on the day.
The tour is given by licensed guides and takes place in all weather conditions. It is up to three hours in duration.
The Muslim Quarter walk is suitable for English speakers, is an easy level and is without Shabbat desecration. It is suitable for individuals and not for groups. Groups can reserve a guide through the Jerusalem Development Authority. For more information, please call: 106 or +972-2-531-4600.
