Harp of David
About
The idyllically situated restaurant, The Harp of David, evokes the days of King David. The Harp of David Restaurant on Mount Zion offers magnificent views, a delicious kosher dairy menu and a magical atmosphere. Situated close to King David’s tomb, Dormition Abbey and the Old City, the restaurant is perfectly located to grab a bite to eat or to celebrate a special event. The views of Zion Gate, the Old City walls, the Mount of Olives and the Judean desert provide the perfect backdrop.
The restaurant is renowned for its kosher biblically-inspired menu and Mediterranean buffet, which includes an exotic selection of fish, cheese, hummus, tahini and stuffed vegetables followed by luscious hand-made sweets and desserts. A favorite choice for receptions, family gatherings, bar mitzvah and bat mitzvah parties, corporate events and intimate musical evenings, the restaurant offers special menus for groups all day, as well as hosting on Shabbat. Table arrangements are flexible and can seat 70 in its banqueting hall and 80 in the quaint courtyard, previously used as a film location.
The restaurant also offers a number of workshops on culinary topics as well as art and antiquity restoration.
The Harp of David restaurant was featured in the Citybites column on the Jerusalem Post website on 13/12/11.
