Shanty

Shanty is a prominent Jerusalem bar-restaurant, which opened in 1992 in Nahalat Shiv'a. The place is a stylish Israeli bistro, with jazz and chill-out music in the background and an upbeat atmosphere. The location adds to the unique design – an original 19th-century Jerusalem building with high arches and special floors covered with carpets.

The kitchen is run by the chef Alon Sela who presents a rich menu of meat, chicken and seafood. Among the recommended dishes are seafood risotto; mussels in cream and anise; spicy wings; and a 400-gr. steak with salad and potatoes. If you visit Shanty and aren’t in the mood for a meal, you can sit at the bar and enjoy the wide selection of wines, beers and other alcoholic beverages.
