The Jerusalem Hotel is a charming, family-run hotel in East Jerusalem that offers comfortable rooms, personal service and attention to detail. The hotel has been run by the Saadeh family since 1960 and was renovated in 1991. Found in an old Arab mansion from the previous century, Jerusalem Hotel boasts high ceilings, arched windows, Arabic furniture, antiques and Persian carpets. The hotel is located within walking distance of Damascus Gate and a light rail stop that can take you quickly to various parts of the city, including the city center, Yad Vashem and the central bus station. One of the highlights of the hotel is the dining experience. Eating out on the garden patio under the vine leaves simulates the experience of eating in a Palestinian village whereas the 300-year-old atmospheric cellar simulates a Bedouin setting.
