Location & History
THE POST is located at 23 Yafo Street, the meeting point between east and west Jerusalem -- just 275 meters away from the Old City walls and a few steps away from the municipality, the shops and restaurants of the downtown area, and the nearest light rail stop, giving you easy access to just about any site in Jerusalem.
The hostel is on the top floor of Jerusalem's main post office, built from 1934 to 1938 by the chief architect of the British Mandate Department of Public Works Austin Harrison, and British government architect Percy Winter. The unique structure combines international styles with those typical of Jerusalem. The building was originally the central communications hub of the city.
