great space, not luxury

This is a quirky hotel. You can't beat the space you get for the price and the location is great. Easy walk to machane yehuda. We had a two bedroom suite with old city views and a full kitchen. Would be great traveling with a family. The decor is modern and a little cheesy. It is a little off putting having to enter into a drab/ugly office building which also happened to be under renovation when we were there. The whole place just lacks the polish of a hotel. There was hole in the wall of a our 2nd floor bathroom, the second bedroom had a couch on its side shoved in the room, the products and towels are not very nice and there was a terrible stench in the bathroom on the first floor. I think with a little work and polish this place could be fantastic! We did get amazing service an kindness from Lior. He was very kind and went out of his way to help us with reservations and with a GPS issue we were having.

I would definitely come back here. We got a great value for the stay. We were in a two bedroom duplex suite that included a full kitchen with fridge and microwave, a large dining table, comfortable living room area seating with a flat screen TV mounted on the living room wall, (as well as in each of the two bedrooms). There was a bathroom and a half, so for 4 people, there was less of a crunch to use the facilities in the morning and before bed. We ended up bringing in dinner twice when it was cold and rainy and we were comfortable with all the facilities. The place is centrally located and very accessible to many of the sites. Also the breakfast option of vouchers for three different local restaurants was a nice change, and plenty of good food, despite some minor issues with each of the restaurants, (one was very crowded for 4 people to sit together, one didn't get our order right, and the third had the best food but was dark, more like a bar atmosphere). You have to know where you going. There is no sign as the "hotel" is literally just the 21st floor of an office building. But as long as you know where you are going, don't let that deter you. There is no parking or circular entryway to unload luggage. The building security person was an older man who worked for the building, not the hotel, and wasn't helpful about finding the hotel, nor was he willing to help in any way to accept or contact the hotel when our lost luggage was to be delivered. The desk staff was professional and helpful but not particularly friendly, but the suite is really a self sustained little apartment, so there in not much interaction with the staff. The bathroom is stocked with full sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, which we were told we were invited to take home. Since they are glass bottles and with a pump dispenser, that would work great for Israeli's, but not something one would want to put in a suitcase. Still, a nice touch. The bathroom was modern, but the shower leaked out every time it was used and made a mess. Extra towels are available on a cart in the hall, so we could clean up afterwards, but the glass shower panel is not well designed. This is a unique experience, much more spacious and comfortable than a typical hotel.

A little disappointed

Pros. Great location, view, size, breakfast, comfort. Cons. Dangerous shower and poor design allowed water to spill out making it very slippery. Rude staff when having billing issues. Safe issues. Could be cleaner in main corridors. A little noisy. Daily cleaning was merely changing out towels and trash

a great trip,amazing sites,awesome food and a comfortable stay

I returned to the 21st Floor Hotel knowing how well I would be treated. However I did not know just how well that treatment would be. I upgraded my room from my May 2016 visit, and the Hotel upgraded one more time at no extra cost to me. I cannot express adequately just how "at home" I feel staying at this Hotel. I literally feel that I am "coming home" each day when I finish my day and enter my room. The staff, from the owner to the management to the staff are all committed to my having a unique, one-of-a-kind living experience in the holiest city of the world. This makes all the difference in the world between all the other hotels in which I have stayed and the 21st Floor Hotel. I had the most breathtaking view of the Kotel as well as a wide panoramic view of the City of Jerusalem. If it is at all possible, I will NEVER stay in another hotel. "Todah Rabbah!" to the 21st Floor Hotel.
