It's fine

Beds were comfortable, but the room was a bit cold sometimes. Besides, it was difficult to have hot water for the showers, but I guess it's the same everywhere in Israel. The location is good, the staff is nice and the price is not bad.

Unsatisfactory rooms
TripAdvisor RatingReviewed on January 5, 2017

Entrance and reception looked degenerated, the rooms itself are in a bad condition. Bathrooms are disgusting and u have a strange smell in the rooms. The price is not worth living there. We had to live there for two nights in two separate rooms - and all of us had the same opinion!

Fantastic position but terrible rooms msirepresented on their web site

The staff were very friendly and that and its position are the only good things about this hotel. Our shower had a hand shower with the pipe connected to the top shower head and in the way of the top shower head thereby only allowing use of the hand shower, which had such low water pressure it was difficult to use. The room and bathroom was dirty and the kitchen dishes and cutlery were not cleaned properly. The pictures on their web site absolutely misrepresented the room we received. I most certainly will not be staying there again. We stayed at the Beit Immanuel hostel in Tel Aviv and our room at the hostel was far superior than the room at the Alon hotel.

The service was very friendly and very responsive -- we needed to check in late, and Emma on the staff gave us very helpful detailed instructions. The room was great, even nicer than we expected, very spacious with high ceilings and a charming balcony. The decor was very tasteful and pleasant. Everything was very clean, and there were plentiful supplies of bedding, towels, shampoo, and soap. And of course the location was ideal. All the rooms are one floor up from street level, accessed by a steep staircase. The Wi-Fi was a bit balky at times, but that was a minor issue. Overall a great experience and we hope to come back.

Awesome value for money, a little upgrade is needed

We Stayed 1 night in Alon Hotel in July 2016. We arrived late and the reception was close, but we got very detailed instructions about how to get to our room. You can't beat the location - close to everything. The room is nice but can use a little upgrade - there was some sewerage smell from...

We Stayed 1 night in Alon Hotel in July 2016. We arrived late and the reception was close, but we got very detailed instructions about how to get to our room. You can't beat the location - close to everything. The room is nice but can use a little upgrade - there was some sewerage smell from the bathroom area, and the windows are not that acoustic so we can hear street noises, but it was OK for us and for the price we paid.
