We had a great time here. A lot to see & experience. Western wall secured by check in metals control. In Ramadan only can get to the Dome of the Rock from 7:30 to 11am. No water, food allowed. No entry to non-musulmans inside the building. Make sure you don't show legs and arms,...

No entry to non-musulmans inside the building. Make sure you don't show legs and arms, if not they will make you rent some skirts for 25 Nis. At the Western wall you can borrow it for free.

Restaurants and stands all around the hotel. King George is a busy street so noise could be a problem, but it wasn't a problem for us. Nice little balcony to watch the street. There is a hospitality room with a computer and TV if your room isn't ready or you need a place after check out.

Reception: Reception staff are nice and check in process was ok, however, due to limited english with some staff, made communication challenging at times. Room / facilities: Relatively clean room, with comfortable beds, pillows, tea and coffee facilities, mini kitchen with microwave cooking facilities and fridge. Crockery is enough for 2 people. Bathroom was large but leaked water onto the floor, outside the shower area, during each shower. Downfalls: No cloth to wipe dishes. Wifi: Fast with no password required, even though reception provide one at checkin. Conclusion: Comfortable rooms, great location close to shops, and an easy 20 min walk to the old city Jaffa Gate. Location / Nearby: Restaurants, shops, money change places, 2 self service laundries (each in different directions from the hotel and within 5 and 10 min walk), Jerusalem City Centre, tram stops and more Getting to / from hotel: The entrance to the hotel is just a door with a maroon colored "City Center Hotel" awning above the door way. Tel Aviv airport by Sherut (shared taxi) for NIS 65 Israel shekels per person, and delivery to your hotel door. Private Taxi cost around 350 Israel shekels from Tel Aviv city to Jerusalem. Currently (2017) trains do not run from Tel Aviv directly to Jerusalem City Center.

The hotel is in a great location right in the city centre and close to a tram stop to get to Damascus Gate and the old city. The old city is also a walkable distance. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel has a TV room and computer for the use of guests although there are TVs in the rooms. The receptionists were very helpful in providing information about the city. There is a good choice of restaurants within walking distance. Driving and parking are very difficult and you would be better off without a car. Parking is particularly difficult as you cannot park in many streets after hours and cannot get spots during the day. Many car parks close overnight. The hotel told us there is one at Rabbi Akiva Street that can be used overnight but we did not personally use it.

Located on the main road, but difficult to find the entrance as it is narrow and not expected from a hotel. Lobby was very small and gave us the impression that we came to the wrong place. The lobby can accommodate maybe 3 to 4 persons around the reception. This needs urgent attention and a makeover. That said, the room we got was on the 5th floor and recently refurbished. Clean, fairly spacious, with a fridge, microwave, safety box ( which I consider important) good sized bathroom with bath tub and a rain shower. The room was well lit. Had a View of the top of buildings across the road. Free wifi in rooms. The staff were cooperative, helpful and booked our tours. They are well informed. Many cafes and restaurants nearby. No breakfast available at the hotel. You are in the main city area. 30 mins easy walk to Jaffa Gate. Suggest use shuttle to airport from the hotel. The reception will book it for you. Most convenient. I would stay here again.
