First of all, the rooms were very nice. However, the spa services and the food wasn’t on a 5-star level. I had called the spa a week prior to my visit; when I showed up for my massage, they said I didn’t have a reservation and they were all booked up. I asked them about my appointment for the facial and I got the same answer. They had no appointments for anything during my two day stay, not even a manicure or pedicure. I complained but to no avail. The next disappointing thing was the food. It was a buffet so people were grabbing food then putting it back, the hygiene was terrible. I asked two times to recook my steak to medium and both times I got a rare and bloody piece of meat. It seemed all the salads had the same bland taste. The breakfast was a little better. How can you mess up a piece of cheese and yogurt? Additionally, getting a coffee was a nightmare. Lots of people running around but no service. This place was so overrated!

We arrived at 1pm. They sent us an sms at 2 that our room was ready. Good start. Our treatments were at 3 and 4pm. More factory like and mediocre because of all the deals with massages and everyone coming and going on the hour. Have had much better. Dinner at the earliest seating at 6:30 was very good with many many dishes to choose from including excellent beef and chicken. Desserts certainly looked good and tasted good within the non-dairy kosher restrictions of the meal. We then participated in a free wine tasting workshop given in their wine shop in Hebrew. Also excellent. Absent were night activities such as lectures etc which they did have when we visited their other resorts. The water in the shower kept fluctuating from cold to boiling!!!! And the finishing on the room, balcony, grouting etc is starting to look tired. Most disturbing was an artificial air freshener spray used by the cleaning crew who are under pressure as in all hotels to turn over their rooms asap for the new guests arriving including on the sheets!! which they had to change for us. It was definitely difficult to breathe and gave my wife a headache. In the morning we took the 5km walk at 7am with only 3 others. Beautiful scenery and strenuous walk with a wonderful guide who had to simultaneously keep up with the front runners and the strugglers behind. There is a clear need for 2 staff here because we almost made the wrong turn coming back. Breakfast was excellent and a spectacular bravo to the most pleasant personal omelette maker that I have seen in a hotel. We ordered a few cappuccinos from the roving waiters who took our orders for hot beverages a few times. A tip: Unfortunately you cant enter the dining hall in their spa dressing gowns for breakfast. We then went to the spa where we were provided fresh gowns and used the pool jacuzzi hamam etc. I would have like to see a steam sauna like in their carmel resort as well. After that we again visited the dining room which continues breakfast until noon when they slowly started asking you if you need any special beverages as they were closing. Nobody rushing you out. All in all an (expensive) excellent hotel.

Beautiful property, Great spa. Breakfast was a cornucopia of fruits, vegetables, cereals, freshly baked breads and pastries, cheeses, fish & hot foods made by the chef at the station. Rooms were elegant, with luxurious linens for bed and bath. Staff, including housekeepers, aimed to please. Since weather was not great we had an excuse to book more spa services which were great (skip the mani/pedi). A fabulous 2-night retreat from heavily-scheduled trip.
