My experience at the Dan Jerusalem was wonderful. The rooms are very nice. The restaurant offers a vast buffet. The hotel staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. I have stayed in several hotels in Jerusalem and this may be my new favorite. The hotel isn’t in the heart of all the movement but it’s a short cab away. The view from the balcony is stunning as it overlooks the city.

Our tour group is staying here for 2 nights. Excellent buffet choices & large dining area are very clean & bright. There's even a custard machine to have a taste of home with the sprinkles or chocolate on top!

I went with a tour group called Endtime Ministries. And it was my first visit to Israel. I had no expectations but I was told that the food in Israel would be good. Not only was the food good at Dan Jerusalem - it was fantastic! The fruits and vegetables were fresh and the taste of all the prepared dishes were spiced perfectly. I’m a vegan and I couldn’t believe a hotel in Jerusalem had sunflower sprouts and lentil sprouts on their salad bar!! I was pleasantly surprised. And I felt really good about eating it all as they don’t use pesticides like we do in America. The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating, especially the dining room staff. Excellent customer service. They also had a spa and a gym and they were quite adequate considering that most hotels have small fitness centers. Overall my experience there was wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone, unless you don’t like healthy food. I can’t say enough good about them. Sincerely, Victoria

This is a nice hotel with a unique layout but it is not located in the "happening " area of Jerusalem. This hotel is located on Mt Scopus conveniently located close to Hebrew University and Haddasah Hospital. There is a falafell stand, suhsi place, and pizza joint in walking distance that caters to the university students. It is less than a ten minute walk to the light rail that travels throughout Jerusalem, For less than 6 shekels ( about $1,70) you could be at the gates of the old city or the action of Ben Yahuda Street after a five minute ride. The hotel is constructed horizontally versus a vertical hi rise. The entrance and lobby are actually on the sixth floor. One wing of the hotel has rooms on "9" floors the other wing have rooms on floors "2" and "3". The lobby and open area are very pretty that follows cascading water falls to the 4th floor. Nice city views from the 6th and 4th floors. The rooms are comfortable with bathrooms that sometime in the past had been updated. Hallways , restaurant, and ballroom are a bit "tired" and could use some updating. We were at the hotel for a conference and it worked out, but if you are planning to visit Jerusalem for a few days I would recommend staying somewhere closer to the old city.

Mid level hotel with great potential.

Mid level hotel with great potential. With quite impressive architecture and stunning view and lovely grounds it could be one of the most attractive hotels. However maintenance, food quality and general level very average. Partly renovated, another part is not in very good shape. Staff polite and prices in accordance. Ask for renovated rooms...
