New
Great location and service!
TripAdvisor RatingReviewed 2 days ago

Relatively new hotel with great service and location. We could walk to the Western Wall as well as many excellent restaurants in Jerusalem. The breakfast is included, and it is very good, with sumptuous variety and excellent service. The rooms were clean and spacious. Highly recommended!

Excellent Location with very friendly staff

The Herbert Samuel was a very nice hotel with an excellent location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The next time we are in Jerusalem we will definitely consider this hotel. The breakfast buffet offered many options and we ate there each morning before beginning our day of exploring.

Where’s the Dinning?

Good location on a pedestrian street leading to the old town 10 minutes away. Clean, modern room and bath. Good breakfast. Our surprise, however, was that despite the hotel’s advertising of “enjoy the hotel’s rooftop dinning...serving quality meals and offering dinners a unique culinary experience”, the restaurant, although serving buffet breakfast, has actually been closed for dinner and lunch for some time (apparently years). Staff members stated they did not know why their webpage had not been updated. The brochure in the room even has nice glossy photos of the restaurant serving dinner, as does their info channel on the hotel’s tv channel. This is disappointing when you arrive from a long trip expecting a relaxing dinner before bed. There is a limited dairy-only room service. In my opinion this is false advertising. Otherwise this hotel would have received a better rating from us.

This was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our trip to Israel, all hotels being in about the same price range. The rooms were large with king sized beds (a rarity) and a large American shower. Conveniently located to main shopping and restaurants as well as walking distance to the old city. The concierge, Ilad, went above and beyond not only recommending restaurants but driving us there in his golf cart! They stored our luggage for us when we went on an overnight side trip. I can't honestly say we used the pool but members of our party did and said it was nice

We stayed at the Herbert Samuel property while touring Jerusalem. This is a newer hotel and is really beautiful. Rooms are well-appointed, small as you would expect in a big city but comfortable and with great beds. The breakfast is on the roof top and is very nice. There is a barista making cappuccinos and specialty coffees which is a very nice touch. Service from everyone was very good and I would happily stay at this hotel again anytime.
