Good price, good location, nice and clean rooms, decent breakfast, working wifi, new and modern hotel results only in a quiet sleep. Generally very friendly staff. Only downside was that we could not get the rooms at 2pm (instead of 3pm check-in time, a bit of a joke) and the whatsapp messages are a nice feature but I am not sure if any read them when you respond. All in all would stay again. in walking distance to the old town, and many food and drink places just around the corner (as are banks). If you taxi driver pretends to not know where the hotel is, don't take it as likely he will overcharge you.

The Ibis City Center Jerusalem is in an ideal location with a 10 minute straight walk to the Old City in one direction and a 10 minute walk to Mahane Yehuda market in the other direction. It sits off the busy street where the tram runs and is in the center of a very active and vibrant area of Jerusalem. The rooms are basic and adequate with comfortable beds and the buffet breakfast (if you select that option) is outstanding. Those are all the positives. The negative (and it is a big one) is if you are given a room on the side of the hotel where there is a bar directly outside the entrance of the hotel... The bar plays loud music and people talk and fight —yes fight and yell—in that walkway way area until 4 am in the morning. Even with the window closed the racket and noise woke us up all night as well as our other family member in a separate room 2 floors down but on that side of the hotel. At check-in I had asked to be placed on the quiet side of the hotel (not knowing which side had the bar) and yet both our rooms were placed directly on the side where the bar was located. I would have given the Ibis a five star rating if not for this issue. I want to assure that other travelers are aware of this issue so they can make an informed choice. We stayed three nights and unfortunately will not use this hotel again because of this. Also —there are two Ibis hotels within two blocks of each other —this is the Red Ibis on Elisar street while the other one is the green Ibis Styles. I hope this review helps other travelers make an informed choice.

Ibis Jerusalem is well located being within walking distance of major sites of Old Jerusalem. It is also handy for the light rail that takes you the Yad Vashem museum in one direction and Old Jerusalem in the other. I'd like to commend Naama on reception who was very helpful rived nd needed to sort out a problem with my bank. Sadly the same cannot be said for most of the rest of the staff especially in the bar where they had a problem accepting cash payment for drinks I had to insist on making payment rather than their preferred option of charging my room for their convenience.
