The Y Three Arches is one-of-a-kind with is many advantages. It's only a 10 minute walk from the Old City and has its own tower. Those features saved us taxi fare, price for a guide and the cost of a tower climb to look over the city. Ahmed helped us with a good city map and directions to the Old City. The day receptionist helped us find the Dan Panorama for a break on the taxi fares to The Israel Museum and later to Tel Aviv--much cheaper than the fares from the King David across the street. Rooms were clean and adequately provisioned. We enjoyed the large breakfasts which were included with our booking through Expedia. For dinner their salad plate was plentiful, serving two people, and tasted great. Order beer, not wine which is quite expensive for a very small pour.

My friend and I picked this hotel as it was conveniently located by the old town and had a car parking. Despite the high rate per night we discovered that breakfast wasn’t included. We decided to have breakfast anyways but the variety/quality of food was very poor and the staff rude. I asked if I could have a cappuccino and they told me I had to pay extra for it. Also the pastries were stiff. I complained and the responsible could not care less. I ended up paying for not eating almost anything. The building is nice and there is a gym nearby that you can use for free. You can also get up to the tower of the hotel and enjoy the view of the walls. Above it could be a better hotel if it was managed better.

I will stay at the Jerusalem International YMCA again! Hassan Ashayer ensures that your stay is successful from the beginning of your stay to the end of your stay. He embodies the essence of World-Class Hospitality with his friendly, caring, knowledgeable, capable, and professional style of ensuring your stay at the YMCA International is successful. You feel that you have a friend and advocate in Hassan that is looking out for your well-being. The facility is clean, elegant, functional, and well maintained. The location is superb (adjacent to the King David Hotel) within walking distance to the Old City and with great access to taxis (taxi rank right outside the Hotel), ATM, and even a petrol station if you rent a car and need to petrol. The facility provides free parking in an on-site underground parking facility. They have 24-hour security and friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you. Their breakfast buffet gets your day going well (great staff) with great omelets, amazing bread (world-class), coffee, fruits, pastries, hummus, etc. Their à La Carte dinner restaurant has a good selection of dishes just in case you choose to eat on-site to relax in the great hotel ambiance. I found the staff (from the front desk to the security to the restaurant to housekeeping) to be friendly and always willing to help make your stay pleasant and successful. Well done Hassan Ashayer! Your dedicated work deserves positive recognition on the world stage! My family and I were able to recharge our batteries in the hotel and always get a great night’s sleep feeling safe and well taken care of. This is the best value for the money in such a unique and amazing City!
