Jerusalem was amazing.nSo interesting, however strick dress code and protocols. All local rules and regulations to be strictly adhered to.nVisited out of season so not too hot, Transport was extremely well protected felt completely safe

Located in the 80-year-old Jerusalem International YMCA building right across the street from the King David Hotel, the Three Arches Hotel offers European style with a Middle Eastern feel along with a top-notch, central location and 3-star, affordable rates. The western Jerusalem YMCA complex, widely considered one of the most beautiful in the world, was designed by the architect who also designed New York City’s Empire State Building. The YMCA’s famous observation tower provides a largely unmatched, full-scale panoramic view of Jerusalem.
Rooms sleep up to three, and include single, doubles, triples, or suites. They are all A/C equipped and include cable TV, a safe, and maid service daily. The YMCA activities and ambiance are one of peace promotion between Jews and Arabs; likewise, a Jewish-Arab kindergarten runs on the premises.
Hotel visitors enjoy the following full range of activities offered at the Jerusalem YMCA, all for free with their stay: these include YMCA’s large indoor swimming pool, squash courts, gym, library. roof terrace, WiFi, and free parking. The complex is home also to the Three Arches Restaurant, offering international cuisine, and open every day of the week. The only draw back for me was a very noisy AC or heating unit outside my room. I gave management feedback via an email response to a survey they sent me but I never heard back. I probably should have pushed for another room given I stayed for 9 nights. So be careful of your room location. Apart from that, it is a good place to stay.

The hotel has a rich history and is directly across the street from the famous King David Hotel for 1/3 the price per night. Obviously the King David is more luxurious but ask yourself, did you come to Jerusalem to sit in your hotel room or did you come to experience the Old City? Included breakfast every morning is amazing also with everything you could want. 5 stars from this Dad that came with his 15 year old son and spent 4 nights and 5 days. Even has a huge YMCA below to swim, work out, play basketball etc. Enjoy!
