I've spent 6 days in this hotel with a friend and it was good. We were not worried about a fancy hotel as we spent most of the day outside walking and exploring the city. Despite this, the hotel staff was super friendly and helpful and the modest breakfast served was good.

Staff were very friendly and the receptionist Muhammad must be mentioned for his helpful attitude. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Wifi worked very well in both the room and in the lobby. Breakfast was ok. I would definitely stay here next time.

MoreStayed here for 5 nights last week with my friends. There were 3 of us altogether and we were places in the second floor. The downside of this hotel is the size of the lobby which is really small and there is only one lift in the building, which could it fit three persons. Fortunately we were staying on the second floor, which means we could easily take the stairs. Room wise was quite satisfactory for three individuals. The hotel is quite old but its location, which is the closest to Al Aqsa Mosque makes this hotel a gem for Muslim visitors as most of us are here to visit the mosque and pray there five times daily during the short stay. The closest gate leading to Al Aqsa Mosque from this hotel is the Herod's gate, which is only about 60-80 metres. The nearest tram station, Damascus Gate station is only about ten minutes away by foot. There's a number of convenient stores nearby -Al Samman store selling various types of nuts and a small shop selling coffee beans and herbs. The staffare friendly and ready to help. Overall, I would recommend this place if you don't mind staying in a small and old hotel.
