Ok but not best

Overall our staying was nice. The rooms were comfortable. The pool was nice, there is a place to sit outside and also a ping pong table. The gym was very nice too! The main thing we didn’t enjoy much was the food.

Good from afar, but very far from good

I spent two nights at this hotel in August (Thursday- Saturday night). It is located in a very pastoral and scenic setting, with views to Jerusalem and the coastal plain. However, upon check-in and throughout my stay, I was met with one disappointment after another, and this hotel was not exactly cheap. The rooms in the Shaked section: appear to have been renovated in the last 5 years with parquet floors and a spacious shower stall. Upon closer examination though, the cleaning of the rooms was absolutely terrible and the bed linens were torn in several places around the edges. Also, there were layers of dust through parts of the room. The food: Breakfast at the hotel was comparable to most Israeli hotel breakfast with a wide assortment of salads and cheeses, an omelet station and even fresh squeezed orange juice. Despite all of this, I could not get ice at any point on Saturday, and this was one of the hottest weekends of the summer. The two dinners I ate at this hotel were barely ok, to be kind. What was more annoying than the lack of taste in the food was the fact that the kitchen and dinning room were poorly managed to the point that there was not enough food at some points and replacing empty trays with food from the kitchen took up to 15 minutes at times. The service was also severely lacking at this hotel. Calling for a trundle bed to be brought up (when it should have been there from the beginning because we were 3 in the room) took over 30 minutes for the front desk to answer the phone. Obviously, I gave up on asking for extra towels. In one public lobby, a food cart tipped over, and though the worker picked up the broken dishes, the slippery and dirty floor was not mopped until the next day. Hiring management with actual training and experience in restaurant and hotel management might be a good idea. I've been to Youth Hostels with better service and better food in Israel. Bottom line: If you like to spend time in this area of Israel, pay a bit more and go to the Cramim Spa Hotel just down the road, which is managed by Isrotel. That's where I'll be going next time.

Been in this hotel with my family for two nights recently. Already upon arrival had to wait almost two hours to have our rooms! The rooms looked like they just did their best to clean it but - Shower & bath were dirty like ages of dirt are stuck. Night lamp beside the bed was missing, some curtains also . Trying to call reception is useless .. in the corridors there were food leftovers, the dinning room floor was sticky and in some places leaking water. The food of the first night upon arrival was collection of what was left from the day before. Alas ! The only thing we enjoyed was the pool & the little saunas & Jacuzzi By the way even in the pool nobody enforced ladies with long hair to ware the caps! Disgusting. I've been in a few hotels during my life- but this is hardly can bear the title of a hotel . May be a bad hostel. Please do not make our mistake ! Avoid !!!!!!!

The house facilities are run-down, many things are broken (e.g. the fire doors near our room were broken, doors do not close properly, etc.). The staff seemed to view guests as a nuisance. We will not visit again.
