The hotel was very nice, because it was little and in a quiet room, the staff was very kindly, the breakfast was very good and the room was modern and the tv had a lot of foreign channels. You can find even some books to read and a computer with internet in the first floor. There was also an excellent wi-fi service. If you go to Jerusalem only for a weekend, you must know that on "Shabbat" (from the evening of Friday to the evening od Saturday) there aren't any bus in the city and the Jewish restaurants are closed, therefore you must walk for a long way in order to go in the old city or you must call a taxi (but they are expensive).

What a terrible place this is. I stayed here 3 nights, but I didn't get a single decent nights sleep during my stay there. The room was tidy and clean all be it small, but my travel agent warned me that it was, but no big deal. The building is old and has very high ceilings. It also has laminate floors throughout and every footstep echos throughout the building with the high ceilings. That coupled with zero sound insulation between the rooms, you could hear every cough, sneeze, snore and fart from the rooms next to you. What made it worse was that there was always a lot of noise in the hallways, considering that there was only 9 rooms on the ground floor and everything was in earshot of the reception, but completely ignored by the guy on reception, he was quite happy for the kids to run riot and other guests to have rowdy conversations next to the communal coffee maker and reception area, as the rooms don't have their own drink making facilities, it eventually went quiet around midnight. This happened each night, it wasn't a one off. To top it all off it was not in a good location at all and required either a taxi or bus ride to get anywhere interesting with the exception of the Haas Promenade. Oh, that communal coffee machine I mentioned, you might need your own cup, they didn't like to put any out. I think I saw paper cups on 2 occasions when I was going past the machine. The rest of the time the little rack for the disposable cups was empty. I have stayed in some poor hotels in the past, but this is up there with the worst of them.
