nice and typical in a residential area

nice hotel in a very special spot in Jerusalem..good position and good but simple experience..the room and the service are pretty basic, no extreme cure for details in the room, no extras ( nor hairdryer or kettle) and get equipped in advance with sleep mask and earplug if you are sensitive to light/noises!

Nice clean no frills place to stay; one of the cheapest in Jerusalem

We've stayed here 5 times before and always returned when we've come to Jerusalem. The rooms are immaculately clean. We generally stay in the rooms in the basement, which is small, but are a place to stay. They have nice large windows and you can see the outdoors well. The restaurant next door serves the most delicious breakfast every morning. It is worth staying just for the breakfast if nothing else. Parking is supposedly in a synagogue across the street. But one time in a stay years earlier, I got boxed in. So now I park on the side street, accessible by going around the block.

Our daughter (20 years old) arrived unexpectedly and needed a place for one night. The hotel staff was warm, friendly. The room was relatively small but it was exactly what she needed. It was very very clean (our daughter said she had never been in a hotel this spotless). The room did not include dinner. The staff suggested nice places around the area that were also nice for a young lady to walk around by herself at night/ evening. They suggestions and staff recommendations were great. Breakfast was also excellent - a large variety to choose from, and tasty. All in all- what began as an unexpected overnight stay in Jerusalem, with very low expectations turned into a wonderful experience and we warmly recommend it to others.

Little House in Bakah is in a green and picturesque neighborhood of Jerusalem, and while it is within walking distance, and there are buses, of course, the distance mitigates against going back and forth frequently between the hotel and the center of town. It's not really that close to the Old City, or synagogues in Nahlaot if that is a priority. Avi at the front desk is extremely knowledgeable and a great help with any problem you might have.
