we spend 4 nights at the Lutheran Guest house with our 4 kids. The location is amazing and the view from the rooms is great. Its not a luxury place, it is simple and this is what we were expecting from such place. Close to Jaffa Gate, you wont carry your suitcase too long and this is also a very good point. Rooms are perfectly clean and tidy, the bathroom were recently renovated, basic and easy. The breakfast is generous and of good quality. We had a temperature issue on the first night but the lady at the reception desk managed to solve the issue promptly. it was a bit cold to try the bar in the garden, but with warme weather, we would have enjoyed it for sure !

We stayed here for 4 nights. It used to be a church and it is beautiful. My room was a garden room, so apart from the main building. Be warned that the hotel WiFi does not reach that far! It was close to Jaffa Gate and plenty of shopping. There is a great view from the hotel garden area of the Dome on the Rock. The breakfast buffet offered was good.

My husband and I stayed for two nights at the Lutheran Guest House and this gave us the perfect place to explore the old city, especially convenient in the early morning and late evening hours and during those hot hours in the middle of August days. Our room as well as the gardens have a nice view of the Dome of the Rock and the Mt. of Olives. There is also a rooftop terrace from which to view landmarks to the NW and SW such as the domes/towers of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. The breakfast included in the room rate is very nice and substantial. We highly recommend staying at this guesthouse.
