Chose the Mamilla because it was highly rated for service, comfort, and location. Our room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. We had a suite so it was very roomy and had two bathrooms (so nice) We were on the 5th floor and had a decent view of the Old City (top part of the city since the wall blocks some of the view). Very happy with the room quality. Breakfast is included. The dining area for breakfast was very nice. High ceilings, nice decor, good quality tables and linens. The food buffet was very good. They had an omelette/egg station for made to order items as well as daily pre-made egg specials (fabulous shakshuka!). Lots of special salads, dips, cheeses, pastries, breads, and all of the typical breakfast items. Coffee was good, juices were delicious. The Host (concierge) was very helpful. Gal, one of the hosts, helped me set up all of my dinner reservations and tours so that when we arrived we were all set and ready to go. The hotel is located right above the new Mamilla Mall with lots of shops. What is nice is that you can simply walk out the hotel door, go down some stairs, turn left and walk through the mall and within 5 minutes you are at the Jaffa Gate and entering the Old City. So convenient!

Wow, I had expected excellence and they aren't doing mediocre. Location is awesome. VERY expensive but the service is super slack. We waited and waited for them to open the gate for our driver and then no one showed up to carry bags until we hauled them in the hotel at which point they grabbed them only for them to disappear until long after we needed them delivered. Room is large and trendy looking but designed poorly. No desk, uncomfortable bed and VERY uncomfortable sofa. Lacking logical places to plug in. They offered to send us a bottle of wine which we declined (we don't drink( but they sent it anyway. Lounge offers an extremely sparse selection of snacks and breakfast is good UNLESS on Shabot where you only get cold items. We paid WAY more than the excellent old American Colony hotel cost us and nearly as much as the awesome Waldor fwould cost. Just HUGE disappointment.

This is a great hotel for anyone wanting to stay in Jerusalem. We stayed for one night to be able to go to the Kotel (western Wall) for Shabbat and it was fantastic. Great rooms, clean, modern, comfy and well appointed including great bathrooms. The location is perfect (a 15-20 minute walk to the Kotel). Friday night dinner was also great. Usually it is absolute chaos on Friday nights but this was calm and delicious. Definitely coming back to this hotel.
