My wife and I and our 18-year-old stayed here for three days in January 2020. This is a really great place. Firt, the location can't be beat: it is centrally located and has several great restaurants within walking distance. It is located on a quiet side street, so there is almost no city noise at night. The street it is in is impossibly cute: it has several small businesses right across from the hotel, including a kind of Italian deli where they have coffee, sandwiches, beer, wine, etc. There is also a great used vinyl store if you go in for that kind of thing as well as a couple of cuteclothes and shoe places. One of the best things about the Montefiore is the amazing breakfast: there are dozens of offerings, including a beaituful shakshuka that the chef makes fresh about every 10 minutes, all the veg that go on a falaffel sandwich, hot beverages, juices, pastries, bread, yogurt, cereal, etc. etc. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The desk staff are very friendly and were always happy to help us with any tourism questions we had. This place will always be my go-to when I go to Jerusalem.

This is the third time I have stayed at the Montefiore Hotel in Jerusalem. It is centrally located near King George and Ben Jehuda Streets in walking distance of the places I like to go. The staff is friendly and the breakfasts very good.

Came back haunted

Let me start with the only good thing: location. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where value for money was so horrible. €200 a night for a dated room with dirty carpets and likewise bathroom. No working safety locker. Service was absent and staff were only trying to sell us tours.
