You arrive and have ring a bell to enter. And that is the only way to get into the hotel 24/7. You are faced with a long staircase. Then you find out there is no lift and no one to help you carry your bags. Luckily I was on the first floor. There credit card facility wasn’t working. They suggest I might need to go to an ATM to withdraw the cash. Room is quaint as per the pictures. My room safe was locked and there was no one who could open it. They promise tomorrow. No toiletries. No glasses to drink from. No bottled water or anything in the fridge. AND NO HELP. No one seems to care. I would not recommend this hotel. TERRIBLE.

The location is right where most tourists start into the Old City, which makes it a lively place. Walking distance to all sites, right across from the Tower of David. The problem is, it’s too close. Every time the Tower of David light show is on, you will hear the sound and see the lights from your room. So in addition to the hundreds of people passing by chatting and laughing, vendors yelling, cars honking, you have the loud sound from the Tower of David. The last show was at 11pm, so prepare not to get any sleep. The only time it was quiet was Friday evening, because of Shabbat. As for the hotel, it was ok. We had a family room with 3 beds on the upstairs level and 2 beds down, 2 bathrooms. Bathrooms showed somewhat renovated but had a musty weird smell. Breakfast was good though, lots of options and was clean. We will not go back as we realize now there are better airbnb’s more worth the price.
