Decent 3 star Hotel in fair location

The hotel was only just a three star. The rooms were small and the bed was only a double. The doonas were not wide enough and if you lay on your side the edge did not reach to mattress thus you did not keep warm. The food was adequate and but limited in scope. Dining Room Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Reception Staff were not helpful on any occasion. When we were picked up at the Israel Border, our guide said that the checkout time at the hotel would be 12:00 noon and she hoped to have it extended to 01:00pm. On the night before leaving we were told that the checkout would be 9:30 am, not even 11:00am which is the standard Israeli checkout time. This was most inconvenient as we were to leave Jerusalem at 04:00pm that afternoon for a flight out of Amman on 01:45am the following morning. On check out we were told that there was no luggage room and we could leave our luggage in an unsupervised public part of the hotel. The Tour Members were thus forced to schedule a supervision roster of our luggage to ensure that it was not tampered with nor stolen. This was not satisfactory.

A pleasant hotel situated not too far from Herods Gate into the old city that is clean and smart. The rooms are small and a little dated with no coffee making facilities (something we like). The buffet breakfast was very good as was the buffet dinner. Plenty of choice and the flavours amazing. The waiting staff were excellent and were even able to predict our next move food wise! On the roof they have a terrace recently refitted which affords good views across the city but unfortunately not of the Dome. Access to and around the hotel is good too.
