Nope. Don’t charge me for a room I cancelled!

Very disappointed to return from a trip to Jerusalem to find the hotel charged me a $219.48 “no show” fee when I’d cancelled with them, as well as informed booking.com of the same, well before my trip. Also Disappointing to me is the silence from the hotel in my attempts to address the issue. They’ve not responded to booking.com, nor to me. Thus .. it’s now to this forum to have others aware. Kudos to my credit card company for their easy process to challenge a false charge. Now I’ll wait .. it will be interesting if the hotel comments on this review since they haven’t responded otherwise.

I visited 2 weeks ago with my 3 friends and my original booking was a room for 3. I was not able to change my reservation online but they were very helpful and reserved me another room so we got 2 twin beds for four of us. This hotel is the best spot if you want to visit the Old City. Just 5 minutes walk to Herod’s gate and a little more to Damascus gate. It is near many shops where you can get food, clothes, money changer etc. Amo Nader and his staffs were very helpful and you can always ask them for directions, car services or how to ride buses to visit other places. Coffee and tea is available 24/7, room was clean and comfortable. It was a very nice experience and I definitely recommend it to everyone. I will pick the same hotel whenever I have chance to visit again. P.S. For arts enthusiasts, pay attention to the paintings in the common room and breakfast area, they are wonderful!
