Outstanding in look and service. Food could be tastier but overall great experience. The hotel knows and understands the needs of families with kids, the word "no" is not in the vocabulary of any of the staff. Any need you have is met.

We just came off a 3 week family vacation at the David Citadel this is defiantly the place to stay in Jerusalem I have stayed at every 5* hotel in the area and this is the spot!!! From when we arrived the service was implacable at check in Munir made sure every detail to our reservation was seen to. There is a great Kids Room that our kids ages 3-12 loved, always supervised properly with special activities and great games for them. The view from our balcony was priceless the housekeeping was there twice a day every time they finished it was like walking in to a new room. As a frequent traveler who is always staying at 5 * hotels there service was beyond any other hotel we have stayed at. The manager Baha could not have been more accommodating and hospitable he was always was there making sure we felt like kings!! There were constantly staff looking after us to make sure all our needs were met there was nothing we requested that they could not accommodate. All the food is really tasty and fresh the room service food was great they have a mouth watering burger on the menu that's the greatest burger you'll ever have defiantly give it a shot!! Overall this is the place to stay when your visiting Jerusalem!!!!!

We had a 5 day stay at David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem during the busiest holiday season. The hotel was beyond amazing-first class all the way! The entire staff from house keeping to concierge were exceptional. We were interested in going to a soccer game and happened to ask our concierge Eviatar Ichie about it and how to get to the stadium and instead of giving us directions and a cab he insisted that after work he would drive us. He actually went home changed and returned to take us to the game. That is what you call over and beyond the job description. He was amazing and we couldn't be more grateful for his hospitality and kindness. Next time we visit Jerusalem no question we will stay at David Citadel. It is absolutely the best Hotel, best staff, best location!!!

Stayed 4 nights in Sep-17 with wife and 2 daughters, 10 & 13. Very classy hotel - genuine 5 stars. Unbeatable location near Mamilla Mall and Jaffa Gate (15 minute walk). Breakfast was brilliant - individual gourmet portions at buffet always impressed and nothing too much trouble for waiters. Pool shady from 2pm (faces...

Pool shady from 2pm (faces East) and pool service lacking too but this was only issue. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Citadel as a change from King David due to reputation and equally good location. We will not stay there again because of the way the hotel completely ignores unacceptable behavior. Throughout the 9 days of our stay, children were running and yelling in public spaces while their parents socialized. There were 15-20 boys playing football in a central room, knocking into guests and staff. Our frustration was escalated by the lack of respect for others in the dining room. Having children of our own, we appreciate the flexibility of a buffet, but at $175-225 per person, we shouldn't have to deal with loud, unruly, inconsiderate guests at neighboring tables, demanding (and being provided) table service when these were clearly buffets. Using the wait staff in this manner was unfair to them as well as the rest of us.
