Let’s start with the positives Good location for all main tourist spots Powerful shower Comfy bed Good buffet breakfast Negatives No real “bar” of any kind Surly reception staff Damp patches on ceiling of bathroom (see photo) Sold as “city view” - judge for yourself (photo attached) Minibar had empty can in it from previous room occupier - so obviously not checked between guests You cannot fill the bathroom sink - so gentlemen don’t think about having a shave! When I asked what could be done I was told to fill a glass of water and shave out of that! Let’s remember this is a 5* hotel charging big bucks. It’s not worth it.

Okay, disappointing for a "Five Star Hotel"

Service is indifferent, but that is true of Jerusalem at large, especially higher-end places. Room was okay but toilet constantly made noise as if water running, but not fixable by jiggling handle. Didn't bother to ask for room switch or attempted fix as, again, pretty indifferent customer service. They get a LOT of important...

Didn't bother to ask for room switch or attempted fix as, again, pretty indifferent customer service. They get a LOT of important guests here, AIPAC was here in full force while we were here, with their own "Service" desk, so everyone is kind of Ho-Hum. It was okay as employer paid charge, but we would have been pissed if we had paid from our own pocket. BTW, Israel is my 52nd country and I am quite used to staying in high-quality hotels. This one disappointed and next visit we will try a different hotel.

We stay there almost every year for birthdays or wedding anniversaries. Our last visit was especially awesome: After check-in we met Shay at the Executive lounge. Shay’s extremely polite, affable and competent. Every conversation with Shay made our time at the lounge even more pleasant. Also, we have to mention Evgenii that makes breakfast omelettes at the restaurant. We enjoy Evgenii's omelettes every time we visit this hotel. And every time they are extraordinarily tasty. Probably those are the best omelettes we’ve ever eaten. Evgenii is a very friendly and sensible person, willing to fulfill whims of his clients. We are looking forward for the next stay!
