I've stayed at some of the other properties over the past few years such as the Waldorf Astoria and can report the King David remains the first choice. We had two connecting rooms on the 6th floor, one of which was a suite with old city view. The food here remains excellent; the gym is OK but could use some enlargement and they could use some kind of spa here. This is the flagship hotel for Dan and they could use some investment here. The Ritz Carlton in Herzliya right now sets the standard for this country. We were tired and not feeling well and wanted an easy dinner one evening and didn't want room service; we sat a long time in the restaurant and had to bug people till we got what we wanted, which was a light dinner. It would be a good idea to let people order from the room service menu and eat it in the lobby. Otherwise, this hotel just has the charm the others don't. Also the service at the front desk and from the concierges is really strong; it is one of the only dining rooms in the world where the staff seemed to notice that i hadn't been around for a while. it is one of my favorites here or anywhere.

For a heavenly experience, while in Jerusalem, please stop at the King David Hotel and dine at the Kings Garden Café! We were truly blessed, from start to finish, to make this our choice. We absolutely ask the management of the King David Hotel to commend, recognize, and promote Ms. Carmen and Mr. Nachum for the "7 star" professionalism, attention to detail, and friendliness they provided during our entire meal. The memory of this place, people and meal remains with us and we hope we can return next year!

Cannot say enough about the friendliness of the staff, the great food, the beautiful room, and the awesome grounds. Everyone makes you feel like home. Will always be my choice in Jerusalem. Worth every penny.

I have been staying at the King David since the 1980's and have only had wonderful experiences. I have stopped trying other hotels! This trip was with a large group and the hotel was totally full and we all still felt like we were the only guests in the hotel. The staff in the dinning room who for the most part have been here for years are so warm and accomplished it is a pleasure to have a meal with them. This trip I had breakfasts as well as Friday night dinner, Saturday lunch. The food at the hotel is beyond excellent. The registration staff is terrific and the concierge staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. There is nothing like staying in a hotel with so much history. I had two stays at the hotel this month one for 4 days and a second without the group for 3. Both rooms were exceptionally well appointed and renovated.
