On top of accommodation, The Post also offers an authentic taste of the city that you won't find anywhere else, including culinary events and workshops, fun activities, tours, and cultural events featuring local musicians and artists, all of which attract a healthy mix of travelers and locals.

At The Post, you're always a local and always welcome.

Hostel Rooms and Facilities

The Post has various-sized private rooms and mixed and female dorms.

Private rooms can accommodate from 10 to 12 guests and include sofa beds, desks, a sitting area, Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with a shower and toilet.

The hostel also has a cinema room, rooftop terrace, dining room, communal kitchen, and a knowledgeable staff that will be happy to advise you on your travels around the city.

Location & History

THE POST is located at 23 Yafo Street, the meeting point between east and west Jerusalem -- just 275 meters away from the Old City walls and a few steps away from the municipality, the shops and restaurants of the downtown area, and the nearest light rail stop, giving you easy access to just about any site in Jerusalem.

The hostel is on the top floor of Jerusalem's main post office, built from 1934 to 1938 by the chief architect of the British Mandate Department of Public Works Austin Harrison, and British government architect Percy Winter. The unique structure combines international styles with those typical of Jerusalem. The building was originally the central communications hub of the city.

Very friendly and informative host reception staff. Breakfast is delicious and cheap compared to the surrounding cafes. Very convenient place. Get off at City Hall Tram Stop instead of Jaffa Tram Stop
