How to Find Affordable Accommodation in Jerusalem
There is a widespread misconception that finding comfortable accommodation in Jerusalem costs a proverbial arm and a leg. It’s certainly true that luxury accommodation is a big player in Jerusalem’s hotel scene, but there are also a wealth of affordable options that will provide you with comfort, great location and value at a reasonable price. You just have to know where to look.
Check out some of our tips for finding affordable accommodation…
Hostels
Many people think of hostels as accommodation meant for backpackers in Europe or Asia, but the game has changed over the years, and many hostels today offer comparable comfort standards to hotels at a fraction of the price and with a much livelier communal atmosphere.

Another excellent and affordable accommodation is the Cinema Hostel. It is designed in a classic movies atmosphere and unforgettable style, granted by the fact that this imaginative hostel is housed in the old Orion Cinema building, established by the British during the 30s. Additionally, you’ll find here a wide balcony overlooking the city center. There are plenty of parties arranged here during the summer. The old cinema comes to life every night in the public areas of the place. You may enjoy yourself, watch a movie and snack with some popcorn. And if you’re still hungry for more, you may get a beer and fine food in the hostel’s bar.
