Jerusalem Winter Events 2023-2024

autor iconBy iTravelJerusalem staff , October 2, 2023

Winters in Jerusalem are typically mild with some rainy, cold days (with temperatures almost never dropping below freezing temperature). Once in a while you'll happen upon Jerusalem's snow storm (we've had 2 relatively huge snow storms over the past 2 years). Winter in Jerusalem is a perfect time to partake in the city's cozy venues and enriching events. Jerusalem definitely knows how to stay warm and busy with plenty of events. Choose from festivals, music performances, dance shows, new exhibitions and more.

Jerusalem Winter Events

  • International Dance Week -- Dozens of performances at venues around Jerusalem by Israeli and international dancers
  • International Music Showcase -- The best of Israeli jazz, world music, rock, indie and electronic at the Yellow Submarine
  • Jewish Film Festival -- Dozens of films dealing with Jewish identity, as well as lectures, concerts, competitions and more
  • Hanukkah -- Eight days of festivities, tours, events and more in honor of the Jewish Festival of lights
  • Christmas -- Jerusalem's Christian community celebrates one of its most important holidays. New Year’s Eve -- Ring in the Gregorian new year with parties, dinners and other events.
  • Shaon Horef Cultural Festival -- An entire month of free concerts, exhibitions and other cultural events
  • Sounds of the Old City -- Israeli and international artists bring to life the musical traditions of the Old City
