Church of John the Baptist, Ein Karem

Also know as the Church of John Ba-Harim, this beautiful church is believed to mark the birth place of John the Baptist within Eik Karem the village that he grew up at.  At the entrance of the church there is a sign "John Ba-Harim" meaning in Hebrew "in the mountains,  referring to Ein Karem as the place of birth of John as stated by Luke. **Daily visiting hours** Summer (April - September) 8:00am - 11:45am, and 14:30pm - 18:00pm Winter (October - March) 8.00am - 12.00pm, and  14:30 -17:30pm
