Grandpa's Warehouse

If you’re in the mood for a little nostalgia, head to Grandpa’s Warehouse (Machsan Shel Saba) just off the road to Jerusalem, in the pastoral village of Beit Meir. Grandpa Yaakov will take you back to the days of the War of Independence, to tales of Yitzhak Rabin and when he was commander of the Harel Brigade. An expert storyteller, Grandpa Yaakov engages guests with stories behind objects from the past, gets people singing famous period songs and even revealing their own stories from the past. The warehouse is found in a large building that was once a chicken coop, and has been transformed into an exhibit space filled with all sorts of meaningful things from the past.
