Crafting a Better World
A unique guided tour of the philanthropic School of Jewelry Art at the Yvel Design Center introduces visitors to Megemeria — meaning “Genesis” in Amharic — a place of new beginnings. Founded in 2010 by Orna and Isaac Levy, founders of Yvel Jewelry, the school empowers new immigrants, particularly from the Ethiopian-Israeli community, through professional jewelry training and creative expression.
Located within the Yvel Design Center, the tour offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience, revealing the workshops and the creative journey behind Yvel’s luxury jewelry. At Megemeria, students combine advanced craftsmanship with personal mentoring, confidence-building, and a strong sense of belonging, where creativity meets purpose.
Healing Through Creation
In response to recent national challenges, Megemeria launched a special program supporting individuals affected by the events of October 7. Through artistic creation and jewelry-making, participants find focus, balance, and renewed strength.
As Yvel marks 40 years of craftsmanship and social commitment, this initiative reflects the power of art to heal and inspire.
The Megemeria Boutique
At the heart of the Yvel Design Center, visitors can explore handcrafted jewelry created by students and graduates. Each piece reflects a personal journey of identity, resilience, and hope.
100% of proceeds directly support the school and its students.
