Orson Hyde Memorial Park

Orson Hyde Memorial Park

The Orson Hyde Memorial Park covers an area of around two acres and contains natural woodlands and spectacular views of the Kidron Valley and the Old City. This park is largely un-trafficked, lending itself to a sort of secret garden of a different kind.

The park was cultivated just near the Jerusalem branch of Brigham Young University, the Mormon's flagship college, and was named after Orson Hyde, a prominent leader in the Mormon Church who visited the Holy Land in the late 19th-century.
