The exhibition

For over 35 years, the Temple Institute (Machon Hamikdash) has been involved in Temple research and education. During your visit to the visitors’ center, located in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City you will see:

  • Over 70 of the Holy Vessels which have been reproduced and are ready for the service
  • Exquisite original paintings of the Holy and its service
  • The uniforms of the Kohanim (Priests)
  • A breathtaking detailed 1:100 scale model of the Second Temple, created from marble, gold and copper.

The exhibition was designed by expert architects and allows visitors to experience a taste of the glory of the Temple.

It was a recording and paintings of interpretations of what former two temples were like. Interesting to see preserved garments and holy utensils and understand the layout.

Nicely done. It's not allowed to take pictures. But very informative. The sound system could be a bit better though.
