My past few times in Jerusalem I’ve never had the chance to come here. This time I made sure and we made reservations for 6pm which is when they open. First - the ambience was very pleasant and quiet( for an Israeli restaurant) We started with the goose liver and sweetbread appetizers which were both delicious. 2 of us ordered the entrecôte and 1 ordered the filet mignon. They accommodated 2 of us who eat low carb and substituted asparagus for the potatoes. The steaks were ordered medium and were cooked to perfection. Each bite was juicy and tender. We skipped desert. I highly recommend Jackos to anyone who wants a delicious meal in an upscale restaurant in Jerusalem

Everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere here is amazing. They have a fantastic selection of gin for anyone who, like me, really loves gin. They were more than happy to alter some drinks to not include carbination for me since I can't drink anything with gas. The food was to...

Sadly the prime rib was unavailable but we will try it next time. I highly recommend the sweetbreads!

This was our second visit to Jacko’s. This time is was a very special occasion with extended family. Based upon our first experience we had everyone excited about dinner. The atmosphere and vibe is great but the staff competency and attitude and this time the food missed the mark. Starters were excellent and enjoyed by all. When mains arrived three meals were returned because they were dramatically undercooked. Two of the meals had had bites taken from them. Eventually the meals returned - the partially eaten food had been placed back on the grill!- and returned burnt and over cooked. This is totally unhygienic and any professional restaurant knows once it’s left the kitchen it cannot come back. In the meantime table service for drinks had to be requested constantly due to in attention. Also when laying cutlery the waitress handled the knife and fork in their food areas- bad training and unprofessional. After calling the maitre d’ on the meals, they eventually agreed to send fresh meals despite saying there is nothing wrong with recooking a customers meal after it has been started. Forget the fact medium cooked meat was now past well done! Whilst waiting for the meals, the staff then asked if we can split our table into a L shape to accommodate more tables - a ridiculous, inconsiderate and unprofessional request which was rejected. The fresh meals returned salty and very disappointing. No remorse, no consideration and no concern for the customer. We all left very disappointed..☹️
