I went in the shop once attracted by the exposure, I had in my mind to buy a cheese and some wine, I was oriented through my tastes by a very good seller and storyteller. Unfortunately don't remember the name after he offered me a good drink. But I know the team leader was Raziel Mordechai. Bravo for the quality and professionality! (Tip: try the truffle butter, extraordinary!)

When in Jerusalem be sure to visit and enjoy the sights and tastes of the Machane Yehuda Market. In the heart of the market is Basher, one of the most incredible cheese stores I've seen. Mr. Baher allowed our family to try a selection of cheeses that he generously cut for us - all so good. My favorite was the goat cheese tomme - wow! But of course there is also the gigantic mound of truffle butter that in your dreams you would leap into - that's heaven in Jerusalem!

Tasty but overpriced cheese. Check for the price BEFORE you take anything. Don't let the market atmosphere confuse you for cheap prices, its not. We bought 3 pieces of cheese and ended up paying 350NIS. The guy there was patient, but he could take the extra step telling us those are VERY expensive cheese.
