You don’t always see this as a must to-do for the city, but it was one of our favorite stops. The church is well-Run and handles the crowds with a politeness we didn’t find in other locales. The chapel has understated elegance, it offers authenticity in the prison of Christ (my husband was amazed we were within such an old area), the views are excellent and it was within walking distance of both Mt. Zion and the Garden of Gethsemane. might be a bit of a walk for those with any difficulties because it can be a bit steep, but if you want to get a sense of the hills, it was fabulous.

Perched on a very steep hillside, church has many intersting features - doors, glass, statue, crypt. Also caffee and toilets. Disabled access is there, but a bit heroic in places

We had a very nice stop at Gallicantu where we were able to go inside the building to look down on where St. Peter met, ate, and slept while doing his ministry. There were also archeological sites surrounding the building where you can envision how life might have been during this time.
