Damascus gates is one of the eight gates into old city of jerusalem. It leads you to the muslim quarter. While the gate is beautiful and ornate, it's dirty around it. The arabs have to learn to keep it clean. Still, its such a beautiful structure that its worth going and having a look...

I crossed this gate many times thinking I would arrive in Damascus when exiting on the other side ! But no : every single time I found myself still in Jerusalem ! The name of this gate is really misleading ...!
