It should be noted this is not really a museum in the traditional sense. The Friends of Zion is a political organization. It advocated for the move of the US embassy to Jerusalem, and the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The museum does contain a lot of historical information. However, it also presented some controversial and subjective ideas as fact, and some facts appeared influenced by ideology. For example, there was a map of Biblical Israel. There are different borders of Israel described in different parts of the Bible, but the museum doesn’t mention this. It showed a map of period where Israel contained the West Bank (when it also contained parts of Lebanon). The presentation seemed to be a justification for the idea that Israel should retain all of the West Bank, without actually saying it. The idea that this land all belonged to Israel was presented as a a historical and religious fact.

My wife and I love the Jewish people. We have supported The Friends of Zion for years. The museum presentation was nicely done and gives one a good look at those who had an impact on the Jewish settlement in Israel.
