Hamifletzet Pub ("The Monster")

The HaMiflezet Pub was established by the residents of Kiryat Hayovel neighborhood, and it is the first cooperative local pub in Jerusalem. It is also undoubtedly the most fun and friendly place in town. People of all ages, kinds, and types come here to enjoy weekly dance parties, musical gigs, talks and just to hang out with pleasant people and enjoy board games on Fridays when most of the town is closed for Shabbat. The pub is located near the famous "Monster" park, behind the community center "Yuvalim" in the neighborhood. It operated as a learning center for pluralism, and it always offers a warm welcome with cocktails, heated and spiced wine, draught beer and delicious snacks. Hamifletzet pub is much more than a place for parties intended for tourists. Kiryat Yovel is a place where students, elderly citizens, artists, and unconventional people, new repatriates, and other unique people are living alongside each other peacefully and joyfully. These people established this pub as an alternative to the commercial businesses that are mostly located in the Center of the City. The pub is open for everyone, it is accessible and stands for acceptance and tolerance. This is a place for special a colorful event, including fundraising, performances of local talents and DJ parties with music from the '70s to the '90s and special events during the holidays. The pub is a non-profit organization managed by volunteers who always happy to greet new friends. The place hosts other local groups who need a gathering spot for meetings and events.
