Beautifully Designed But Poorly Maintained
TripAdvisor RatingReviewed on October 12, 2017

The JBG is beautifully designed but poorly maintained. Cracked pavements and unkempt flower beds are not typical of the best botanical gardens. Why should they be here? The enchanting design of this garden deserves better. Is it for lack of funding? Insufficient volunteer commitment? Time for a change.

More than expected - great garden

Amazing walk, great views and different attractions for kids along the way. Much more than what i expected. We even saw a small jackal while walking and we were confirmed that they actually live in this area.

It's a botanical garden- that's what it is

It's OK- that's the best that I can say. It is not a tourist site for me, and I don't see why it should be on the tourist map for our international visitors. However, my visitors wanted to go here. However, it's really intended for local Israelis. We went in the evening for a "nights in Africa" program. I didn't follow the agenda too closely. There were signs and explanations of African flora and fauna and tribes. Was the vegetation of African origin? I don't know. There were activities for children, including a rain dance. It was not worth the 50 shekel price for adults.

Great disappointment

Sad to say the gardens are not taken care of. Many dead or non existent plants (a "rose garden" without a single rose in it). Most special attractions are closed for construction. Signs inadequate and hanging sideways. Lots of visable and unorganized electric cables. Seems like all the donations are going down the drain.
