Looks small from the outside, but the evening holds the key to unlock their downstairs space. Complete with live music it's hard to come by. Good beer, bout the best all round burger and fries you'll find in Jlem and the price is friendly on the pocket. If you're looking for a bit of the american menu, this is your place!

Dinner at Mike's Place

The food was good although somewhat expensive. The service however, was extremely slow. We ate inside to avoid all the smokers outside and the server seemed to forget about us.

An OK American-style meal

Three of us booked for dinner, together with a musical performance that we had booked and paid for separately. Two of us had a voucher for dinner for two; the third person had a discount coupon--this information conveyed to the manager when we came in. No problem, he said. So we sat down and ordered. Food was fine--I wouldn't call it extraordinary; service was pleasant. When it came time to pay, the (other manager) said that as we were at the same table, only one 'deal'--the voucher could apply. Ultimately, he gave-in--the 'staggering' sum was NIS7--which he took out of his own pocket (not my concern). We left a tip at full value--the server didn't 'lose' because of voucher or coupon. On the way out, we walked past the manager, who, instead of thanking us and inviting us back, looked at us--if looks could kill... What should have been a very pleasant evening with friends was something less--and that's a shame. Moral of the story--if members of your party have different promotions, sit separately.
