I was invited to be part of the interfaith jury for the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival in December, 2019. This is the guest house where they put me up. It's in a great location - you can walk to the Holy City if you have good legs! However, I understand that you have to be invited to stay here; it's not a hotel or hostel but more of a conference/artists retreat center. I feel blessed to have been able to stay here. The restaurant keeps kosher so there was no meat in the restaurant. However, the food is wonderful.

Located just outside the walls of the Old City and walkable. Our room and a whole side of the property had a spectacular view on the back side. We would sit out there staring at the Old City and enjoying each other's company on the back veranda. The staff is effective and efficient. Rooms were clean and large. Our bathroom was a bit crowded but suspect others were larger. It was serviced daily to varying degrees. Some days they brought water for the coffee pot and others they did not. Really not a problem however. Breakfast was extensive and the staff was friendly.

This is a unique site. Not your usual hotel with spa, fitness, pool, carpets and lounges; it is austere but elegant in very understated traditional form. Not a kickback place but a special one for its distinctiveness, a place part and more like the old city than anything new.
