Orion Cultural Center: connecting local artists with visitors from all around the world
Orion is a local culture center, situated in the very heart of Jerusalem, connecting local artists with visitors from around the world, and allowing them to attract new admirers of their crafts.
The Orion complex consists of several platforms intended for displaying arts, building communities, and creating unique content:
- The Cinema Hostel is unique accommodation housed in an old cinema that was the pinnacle of Israeli Culture during the formative years of the State (the 40-50-60-70's). The impressive building, made of Jerusalem stone, accentuated by a dome structure that has taken its cue from the Radio City Music Hall design, was kept in pristine condition, allowing its guests to enjoy a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and environment.
- The Orion bar – A chic and young cocktail bar.
- A stage for music and live performances. The stage combines community events, parties, and cultural events.
The city lost a bit of its interest in Cinema during the '80s. The building was left to its own devices for over 25 years. Until the current operating team took matters into their hands and reinvigorated it with new artists, a modern approach, and a beautiful interpretation of art – building bridges between past and future, old and new, inspiring—and inspired.
